Last Tuesday The Man of the House and I watched the season finale of Dancing with the Stars. It’s one of our favorite shows and we’ve watched it every year it’s been on. If you’re not familiar with the show it pairs a professional dancer with a celebrity who doesn’t have dancing experience. During the course of the show the celebrity’s dances are judged and one by one the celebrities are eliminated from the show. The final show is very exciting as it has the best dancers and the most advanced dances.
On Tuesday they mentioned that the show has been adapted for twenty-nine countries including Germany, India, Romania, Russia, South Africa and Venezuela. Twenty-nine countries? In this world of wars, differing religions, conflicting value systems and language barriers it gives me hope. Around the world people are gathering to watch people dance.
Maybe we’re not so different after all.
