It’s That Time of Year Again

Cherries

When we noticed that the cherry trees in the mobile orchard vineyard were starting to turn color, we netted them to keep the fruit from the birds.  Once we’ve harvested the cherries it will about time to net the grape vines.

Wild Weekend or The Drip Irrigation System

This weekend The Man of the House and I worked on putting together a drip irrigation system.  We’ve got all the supplies.  The next step is to prep the plants and then we’re ready to go.

Mice and Slug Bait

We’re getting a jump on our gardening this year.  We’ve already weeded all of the planting beds.  The Man of the House mixed up a batch of his homemade fertilizer and worked it into the soil. It was the perfect time to apply our “natural” slug bait to the cabbage and Brussels sprouts.  (The slug …
