Last week my brother and I went on a road trip to our hometown of Livingston, Montana.
Recently the Ninth Street Island Bridge has been in the news there. How can a bridge get into the news? It can threaten to collapse, that’s how. Here’s a photo of the bridge taken on July 4th.
This photo shows the bridge support that sunk into the water. The original bridge is directly above the supports. There’s a new, but temporary, bridge just above that.
This whole thing was VERY interesting to me as I lived on the island until I was ten years old.
Near the bridge is Park. The park has a lovely new statue of its namesake.
